These key programs were highlighted during a recent meeting between Ros Seilava, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), and Tan Sri Nazir Razak, Chairman of ASEAN-BAC, according to MEF’s news release on Friday.
Seilava welcomed Nazir and his delegation, expressing appreciation for their visit and for taking the time to discuss priority initiatives aimed at enhancing cooperation within the ASEAN framework.
He acknowledged Malaysia’s leadership in the ASEAN Business Advisory Council and commended Nazir’s role as the Chair for 2025, recognizing Malaysia’s commitment to advancing the region’s economic integration.
During the meeting, Nazir outlined the 12 priority projects that will guide the ASEAN Business Advisory Council’s agenda for 2025.
“These include initiatives such as the ASEAN Private Capital Markets Initiative, ASEAN IPO Prospectus, ASEAN Talent Development and Mobility, the Digital Exchange Platform Malaysia, and the ASEAN Common Carbon Market Initiative.
“These programs are designed to support ASEAN’s economic integration and provide sustainable growth opportunities for the region,” he said.
Seilava expressed support for the key initiatives, noting their alignment with the ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote economic development and integration within Cambodia and the broader ASEAN region.
He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to working closely with ASEAN-BAC to ensure the success of these priority projects.
