ASSIST is an online ASEAN mechanism designed to support ASEAN enterprises in seeking solutions to issues and obstacles related to cross-border trade in goods, trade in services, and investment within the ASEAN region. This mechanism creates a channel for enterprises to reflect issues encountered during their business operations in ASEAN Member States and supports the exchange and handling of these issues through the focal points of Member States. In 2026, ASEAN is coordinating with the International Trade Centre (ITC) to implement activities to upgrade ASSIST in order to raise awareness, accessibility, and operational effectiveness of the Mechanism, thereby better supporting the practical needs of the ASEAN business community.
To serve the upgrade process of the ASSIST Mechanism, the ASEAN Secretariat requests ASEAN countries to coordinate the dissemination of a survey to collect feedback and practical experiences of the business community regarding the use of ASSIST as well as obstacles in cross-border trade activities within ASEAN; thereby identifying difficulties, raising awareness and accessibility to the Mechanism, and proposing solutions to improve ASSIST towards better meeting the needs of the ASEAN business community.

In which the information and feedback of enterprises will be kept strictly confidential. The expected deadline for completing the survey is August 26, 2026.
