Saha Group and Sumitomo Partner to Expand Japanese Content and IP Business in ASEAN

E-Commerce Digital Thai Holding Public Company Limited (EDTH) and Shop Global E-Commerce Co., Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sumitomo Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation Asia & Oceania Pte. Ltd. to jointly expand business opportunities for Japanese content and Intellectual Property (IP) in Thailand and across the ASEAN region. 

This collaboration reflects the shared vision of expanding access to Japanese culture and content throughout Thailand and ASEAN, while creating new business opportunities through the development of the Japanese IP Business. By combining the strengths of both organisations, the partnership aims to enhance competitiveness in the rapidly growing content and Intellectual Property (IP) products market. 

Under this collaboration, EDTH and Shop Global E-Commerce, companies within Saha Group with expertise in manufacturing, brand development, distribution, retail, commerce platform development, and cross-border trade, will work together with the Sumitomo Group to develop business opportunities in the Japanese IP sector. The collaboration covers IP licensing management, product development, marketing and sales, Creator & Influencer Marketing, Live Commerce development, content business expansion, as well as the joint development of new business models.

This collaboration will strengthen both parties. EDTH and Shop Global E-Commerce will gain access to Japanese Intellectual Property (IP) and Sumitomo Group's global business network, while the Sumitomo Group will further expand its business through Saha Group's strong manufacturing, distribution, and consumer network across Thailand and Southeast Asia, supported by both well-established offline and online channels. 

The Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony was attended by executives from Saha Group and Sumitomo, including Mr. Shuichi Nagasawa, General Manager, Media Strategy Business Department, Sumitomo Corporation; Mr. Vorayos Thongtan, Managing Director, E-Commerce Digital Thai Holding Public Company Limited (EDTH); and Mr. Sorchote Ambhanwong, Chief Executive Officer, Shop Global E-Commerce Co., Ltd. 

The ceremony was also witnessed by H.E. the Ambassador of Japan to Thailand and Mr. Boonsithi Chokwatana, Chairman of Saha Group.
