Cambodia is scheduled to participate in June alongside Malaysia, with local companies expected to display products ranging from food and beverages to fashion, handicrafts and creative industry goods.
Cambodian businesses will soon have the opportunity to promote their products and expand commercial ties with South Korean buyers, as the Kingdom prepares for an upcoming starring role at the “2026 ASEAN Panorama” exhibition, launched this week in Seoul by the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC).
Cambodia is scheduled to participate in June alongside Malaysia, with local companies expected to display products ranging from food and beverages to fashion, handicrafts and creative industry goods.
The five-month rotating exhibition, officially opened on May 7 at the Seoul ASEAN Hall inside the Korea Press Centre, aims to strengthen trade and business cooperation between ASEAN member states and South Korea through product showcases, business networking and market-entry support programmes.
Held under the theme “Bigger, Bolder, Broader: The New ASEAN in Every Detail”, the exhibition represents an expanded version of the ASEAN Trade Fair series organised annually by the AKC since 2014.
The programme brings together all 10 ASEAN member states through monthly rotating exhibitions.
“Brunei and Indonesia are participating in May, followed by Cambodia and Malaysia in June, Laos and the Philippines in July, Myanmar and Thailand in August, and Singapore and Viet Nam in September,” explained the AKC.
It noted that the initiative is designed not only to promote ASEAN products to Korean consumers, but also to create practical business opportunities for ASEAN companies seeking to enter or expand within the South Korean market.
Participating businesses will be invited to join tailored business-to-business (B2B) programmes in Korea, including seminars, one-on-one consultations with buyers and visits to industrial sites and relevant institutions.
“The exhibition will also feature financial advisory sessions organised in cooperation with the ASEAN-Korea Financial Cooperation Center in Jakarta, providing guidance on issues such as payment systems, remittance services, company registration, investment attraction and market expansion strategies,” said a press release.
Experts from institutions including Shinhan Bank, Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC), BlissVine Ventures and local tax firms are expected to provide consultations for participating companies.
For Cambodian businesses, the exhibition could offer additional exposure in one of Asia’s major consumer markets at a time when the Kingdom is seeking to diversify exports and strengthen trade relations with regional partners.
South Korea has become an increasingly important economic partner for Cambodia through investment, trade and development cooperation, while interest in ASEAN products and Southeast Asian consumer markets has continued to grow among Korean businesses and consumers.
The AKC announced that a special promotional event for Timor-Leste — which formally joined ASEAN as its 11th member state last year — will also be organised during the exhibition period.
Alongside the business programmes, the exhibition will host a series of public events aimed at increasing consumer engagement with ASEAN products and tourism.
Visitors participating in the “ASEAN Panorama Completion Event” will have opportunities to win prizes, including an ASEAN travel voucher worth KRW 1 million ($700). South Korean carrier T’way Air has also partnered with the exhibition to provide discount coupons for flights to Southeast Asian destinations.
An open market held during the launch event on May 7 allowed visitors to directly purchase ASEAN products that will be showcased at the exhibition.
The ASEAN Panorama exhibition will run until September 30 at Seoul ASEAN Hall in central Seoul.
