Applicants are required to submit their proposals no later than June 30, according to the Department of Agriculture.
The Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation has announced that new companies wishing to export rice and broken rice to China may submit registration proposals no later than June 30.
According to the department, companies seeking to export rice and broken rice to China will be subject to annual regular inspection and registration in accordance with the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Protocol requirements stipulated under the plant health agreement signed between Myanmar and the People’s Republic of China.
New companies applying for rice and broken rice export registration (excluding those already approved) may obtain expressions of interest forms from the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, as well as from the Technical Working Group for Rice/Broken Rice Exports to China under the Myanmar Rice Federation.
Applicants are required to submit both (1) hard copies and (2) soft copies (Word files) of their proposals no later than June 30, according to the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
