Cambodia’s total trade volume reached nearly $54 billion in the first ten months of 2025 (January to October).

Speaking at the inauguration of the 18th “Cambodia Trade Fair” on December 4, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), His Excellency Sun Chanthol, announced that the total trade volume for the 10-month period of 2025 was $53.58$ billion. This figure represents a growth of approximately 17% compared to the same period in 2024.

H.E. Sun Chanthol also highlighted Cambodia’s globally recognized investment environment, which has received recognition for two consecutive years. According to fDi Intelligence, Cambodia was ranked top in the FDI Standouts Watchlist in 2024, confirming it as a leading growth market for foreign direct investment (FDI). Furthermore, in 2025, Cambodia continued its strong performance by ranking first in the Asia-Pacific region and ninth globally in the Greenfield FDI Performance Index. This index measures the effectiveness of a country in attracting investment relative to the size of its economy.

Regarding new investments, H.E. Sun Chanthol noted that Cambodia approved over 600 investment projects in 2025. Specifically, as of the end of November 2025, the CDC had approved 609 investment projects with a total capital of approximately $9.5$ billion, which is expected to generate over $400,000$ jobs.
